I reimaged my computer (deleted everything, then downloaded what I wanted, so I'd have more space)

Anyway, I downloaded Giants/GRM/GiantsHook, ect.

I opened up Giants, and I used the graphics options to fix the water and buildings, but the weapons, Mecc, and almost everything else looks like shit. I know the 1.4 patch alters the graphics, so can you tell me what the graphics options should look like?

This, btw, is my Giants Folder, just showing to make sure I'm not missing anything

Also, I deleted the gg_dx8r.dll folder, I thought that may have been the problem with my messed up graphics

Looks like shit as in the ''black map'' bug or as in everything is just completely wrong, such as colors, lines of random color sequence etc.

It may have been only when I host my own game (because in Dedicated server, it looked normal), but everything was super blurry. I couldn't read the numbers, but I could still make out the weapons by their color

I'll try and see again this afternoon, see if it magically dissappeared

Try running giants without grm and giantshook before you conclude anything about the DX8 renderer. You can try searching on gwd forums, though I haven't found anything related to youe problem.

When you reimaged everything, did you delete any drivers for anything? If so, reinstall your graphics card drivers and use it's default settings to see what you get.

It's gone now, both singleplayer and multiplayer

The only conclusion I could make was I downloaded all the patches/skins/upgrades one after the other, without any breaks, and as soon as I was done, I started up Giants, so maybe the graphics were messed up because of that

But like I said before, they're gone, so I'm playing Giants again
